ROOTED IN TRADITION AND GROWING INTO
The Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre has provided a place for community events for over 40 years! We are thankful for the dedication of our volunteers who have assisted us all these years with events and the upkeep of our Centre. Thank you to everyone who has donated, members, Latvian organizations and bequeaths. All of which have kept the Centre strong and viable. Unfortunately, as our community ages, and others move away from the Centre, resources to assist with the required upkeep of the Centre have decreased substantially. Hall rentals and catering are not enough to offset this loss. Our well used building needs renovations to continue to keep it functional and viable.
We are starting a new donation initiative to grow into the future with the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre! The majestic oaks of Latvia have always been a symbol of our strength and longevity. And that is our symbol for the future of the Centre. Your donation will help us grow into the future. A leaf in your honour will be placed on an image of the oak tree on the walls of the Centre.
Green Leaf: $100+
Amber Leaf: $500+
Silver Leaf: $1000+
Gold Leaf: $2,500+
Platinum leaf: $10,000
A donations of $50,000+ will be commemorated in the trunk of the tree.
When you accumulate a donation of $1000, you become a Latvian Centre member.
The colour of your donation leaf will change as your donation grows. Monthly and yearly options for donations will be available and a charitable donation tax receipt will be issued to you. The Donation form is available on the last page of this magazine. Please fill it out and return it to the front Office of the Latvian Centre.
The Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre is the hub of Latvian society in Canada. We are reaching out to everyone who uses the Latvian Centre and believes in the importance of its future to our society! Investing in the future of the Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre is investing in the future of Latvian Society in our city and Canada!!!
